A walk through the Cardas home is like a visit to a studio gallery. Visitors enjoy framed photos of Cardas and her husband, Josh Meredith, along with oversized portraits of their young son. In an era when people take more pictures than ever, Cardas said fewer photos are actually on display in people’s homes. Instead, digital images reside on home computer hard drives and portable devices. Leaving the highly competitive student culture in Southern California was no loss to her. She joined the volleyball, softball and cheerleading teams and quickly made new friends. Cardas started her collegiate studies at Southern Oregon State University and graduated from Oregon State with a degree in speech communications. She worked for 10 years in radio broadcasting. She and Meredith met in Albany, where they worked together on a morning radio program. The couple relocated to Bandon two years ago; Meredith is now operations manager at Cardas Audio. With her contagious smile and a relaxed conversational style, Cardas has a gift for making new friends. These days, Cardas is sharing her expertise with the local business community. Motivated by her own positive experience with the Internet and social media, she has launched a new blog, bandonbusinessspotlight.com .
